What the symbols mean
-
Your streak is running. Every day you tick the box it goes up by one.
-
A freeze was just used. You missed a day and your monthly freeze covered it, so the streak survived. This shows once, the day after.
-
No streak running. Tick the box to start a new one at 1.
-
A red outline means no safety net. You have already used this month's freeze. Miss another day and the streak ends.
How freezes work
Every calendar month gives you one free missed day. The first day you miss is forgiven and still counts toward your streak. Freezes do not stack up or carry over — each month starts with exactly one, on the 1st.
Broken streaks remove the habit
If you miss a second day in the same month — while the card is showing its red outline — the streak breaks and the habit is deleted automatically, along with its history. This cannot be undone.
